Welcome! I’m Lucia. I have been a teacher for 19 years and am passionate about helping students of all ages to discover fresh ways of thinking, creating, and connecting. When not in a classroom, you can find me in gardens and ditches looking for interesting plants to preserve and use in art. I am excited to share my products, services, and classes with you, all centered around nature as a form of creative expression!

Preserving Nature's Beauty (Private Event)
Tuesday, August 12th, 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Location TBD

Pressing flowers is a method of preserving flowers by drying them and flattening them into a paper-thin state, allowing them to be displayed or used in various crafts and art projects. It's a way to keep the beauty of flowers alive and can be used to create keepsakes or art pieces. This class will allow you to create beautiful, unique pieces of art from nature, even if you have no prior experience with flower pressing. You'll leave this session with a jar or candle decorated with pressed flowers, and inspiration to continue preserving your own garden to enjoy throughout all four seasons!

One thing I love about pressing flowers is the ability to take something that might bring temporary joy and transform it into art that can be appreciated for years to come.

Whether you have arrangements from a wedding or funeral, or a garden in bloom, I would be honored to work with you to press, preserve, and arrange them to create art for you and your loved ones.
